Elyssa Mahoney and friends sing at the Canadian Museum of Civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, July 5, 2006 — “Born to entertain”. That’s how Elyssa Mahoney has often been described. If you are a blues fan, no matter what age, you won’t want to miss hearing this dynamic performer at the Canadian Museum of Civilization on July 8 and 9.

Elyssa, three-time winner of the Quebec/Ontario Youth Music Festival, has been singing since the age of 5. Besides writing her own songs, Elyssa’s bilingual repertoire includes selections from blues, R&B, soul, Motown and jazz. She also excels in early classic rock, pop, musical theatre and classical. Let yourself be wowed by her powerhouse voice. The sounds of blues will fill the Grand Hall on Sunday, July 9 at 1:30 p.m. as this young, up-and-coming singer performs with Steve Boudreau and Robert “Zeek” Gross.
