Craft the night away at the Canadian Museum of Civilization

Gatineau, Quebec, March 12, 2007 — On March 22, join curator Alan Elder and musician, woodworker, glass artist Nicola Mainville at the Canadian Museum of Civilization for a entertaining craft-themed evening. Nicola Mainville builds instruments out of wood and glass and will hold a demonstration and presentation of his pieces of art. Don’t miss the sampling of Quebecois cheese from La trappe à fromage. You will also have the opportunity to tour Unique! 30 Years of Outstanding Crafts with the exhibition’s curator, Alan Elder. Come enjoy this evening of music, crafts and food!

This activity is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Unique! 30 Years of Outstanding Crafts, where 120 examples of Canada’s finest crafts made by the country’s most accomplished and creative craftspeople are on display until August 5, 2007.
