Gatineau, Quebec, May 4, 2016 — Battles for justice. Dreams of glory. Fantasies of wealth and splendour. Draw back the curtain on the Canadian Museum of History’s captivating 2016–2017 season with an exclusive behind-the-scenes video preview.

This season’s special exhibitions tell stories of struggle and aspiration through artifacts drawn from priceless Canadian and international collections. Fortune-seeking prospectors dream of astonishing finds in Gold Rush! – El Dorado in British Columbia. Craftsmen strive for perfection in Horse Power – The Paul Bienvenu Carriage Collection. Suffragists fight for equality in “Nice Women Don’t Want the Vote”. Athletes battle for glory in Hockey in Canada – More Than Just a Game. And an emperor builds a capital in the international touring exhibition Napoléon and Paris.

The new video gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse at some of the work being done to prepare these extraordinary exhibitions. All of this and more awaits visitors at the Canadian Museum of History this coming season ― exhibitions not to be missed.
