Guided Architectural Tour

On the “Journées de la Culture,” the Museum invites you to an activity that is always a hit with the public: a guided architectural tour of the Museum’s exterior. A guide will explain the unique architecture of the Museum and its surroundings, from the Japanese Zen Garden to the well-known buildings forming the silhouette of the city across the Ottawa River (Parliament Hill, the Supreme Court, etc.). Duration: 30 minutes. In case of rain, bring your umbrella. Meeting point: Information Desk, Main Lobby.

Join us for a cultural celebration of Indian dance. This evening is in commemoration of the Indian community’s emigration from India to Canada, and the cultural memories of what they left behind. In partnership with the Upasana School of Dance. Tickets: $30.

Night at the Museum

On the “Journées de la Culture,” the Museum invites you to Night at the Museum (in French with English subtitles). This movie introduces us to Larry Daley, a divorced father who can’t seem to hold down a job for more than a week. After applying for a job at the Museum of Natural History in New York, he’s hired as a night watchman. A series of wild and wacky adventures ensues when he discovers that an ancient curse causes the animals and exhibits on display to come to life and wreak havoc!

Night at the Museum 2 – Battle of the Smithsonian

Night at the Museum 2 – Battle of the Smithsonian (in French only) is the zany sequel to Night at the Museum. We’re reunited with Larry Daley, who has left his job at the Museum to go into business. Meanwhile, his old friends continue their battles at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, and they call for his help when the statues, stuffed monkeys and other artifacts are moved into the basement of the Museum.
