Pop Art Workshop

Gatineau, Quebec, January 17, 2007 – On January 27 and 28, join us at the Canadian Postal Museum in the Canadian Museum of Civilization to create your own personalized writing paper. Local multimedia artist Marie-Pierre Kroetsch will teach you collage techniques and show you how to design rubber stamps. With these new skills, you’ll have no problems creating original and colourful letter paper. A creative workshop you won’t want to miss!

This activity is organized in conjunction with The Post Goes Pop, the newest Canadian Postal Museum exhibition on display until January 6, 2008. This exhibition depicts the role played by the postal service in everyday life, and shows how much postal imagery, most often drawn from the past, shows up everywhere in popular culture.
