Sheraton Bookcase With Drawer
This small, well-proportioned Sheraton bookcase, with its flared French feet and scalloped base, is a rare form for this period in Canadian furnishings. The interior retains the original red wash. Across the apron is a style of line inlay that has been found on several pieces with a Halifax origin. This inlay can be helpful when assessing provenance, but is not sufficiently unique to enable a determination independently of other factors.
