The highly decorated glaze on this small piece adds to its appeal. Both William Eby and Adam Bierenstihl used similar colour combinations of blue and green on a buff-salmon coloured base. The cylindrical casing at the top and colourful glazed decoration suggest that this piece was intended for use as a candle holder, but it is possible that it was made for some other purpose.
