Low Post Rope Bed
The four posts on this bed are lower than usual, possibly to allow for the sloped ceilings found on the upper floors of many smaller period homes. The simple and restrained turnings on the posts are typical examples of the Pennsylvania German influence on Niagara Region furniture during the early to mid-1800s.
