Grand Canyon: River at Risk

Plan Your Visit

On June 29 and 30, celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Canadian Museum of History building with us! In honour of this special occasion, CINÉ+ is dusting off its original 70 mm projector to present films on its iconic dome screen.

Grand Canyon: River at Risk takes viewers on an exhilarating river-rafting adventure down the Colorado River, exploring the history and beauty of the Grand Canyon and the river that shaped the destiny of the civilization that developed in the region. Leading the expedition is the anthropologist and explorer Wade Davis and Shana Watahomigie, a member of the Havasupai and the first Native American to become a National Park Ranger and river guide. Together they explain the significance of this hallowed, living natural wonder and highlight the importance of living in harmony with our natural surroundings.

Featuring songs and music by Dave Matthews Band.
