From Germany to Denmark:
Spandet, 1864 to 1920
Spandet remained part of Germany until after that country's defeat in the First World War. In 1920, the Treaty of Versailles asked the residents of South Jutland to vote on which country they wanted to be part of. They voted for Denmark.
