From Tianjin. Adept in drawing of human figures, animals, flowers and birds. His drawings were accurate, colourful and vivid. His work "Wu Song Beating the Tiger" won the Bronze Award of the Sixth World Young Artists Competition. He also did a lot of comic drawings. He was a Director of the Federation of Chinese Artists and a Vice-Chairman of the Beijing Detail-Stroke Human Figure Painting Research Institute.
