He is native of Tianjin. He is known for his paintings of human figures, but he is also good at painting landscapes, flowers and birds. The human figures in his paintings, whether ancient or contemporary, appear very lively and exhibit a style characteristic of the artist. He likes to use the Chinese pen ink style to create serial and individual drawings. He was invited to hold a personal art exhibition in Japan in 1989. Currently he is a member of the Chinese Artist Association and the Tianjin Literary Association.
