Jean Duhaime Professor Jean Duhaime, a theologian and biblical expert at the Université de Montréal, provided a fascinating discussion on The Meaning of the Scrolls and what they tell us about early Western religions and the ancient Middle East. Professor Duhaime is a specialist on the writings of the Prophets, and on the Psalms, the Books of Wisdom, ancient Jewish literature and the Dead Sea Scrolls. In his lecture, he examined the scrolls that were then on display at the Museum – the Isaiah B Scroll, the Community Rule Scroll and the War Scroll – and discussed their importance to Judeo-Christian tradition.
