"The yellow background on these moccasins represents the colours of the heyoke (a contrary being). On it I've beaded a design with ten points, which represents the flame or the seven fires, the one who unites all, the Creator and Mother Earth. The broken chevron design on the side at the front represents the path one walks. The "eye of God" design in the centre represents the Creator. The colours around it, as well as the four tabs or marks, represent the four directions."
