Karen, a remarkable self-taught Métis-Cree artist, was born in Prince George, BC, Canada. Her journey into the world of art began in her childhood, and her passion has blossomed into a successful career. Karen’s art is a conduit for connection, allowing her to engage deeply with people through her captivating creations.
Drawing inspiration from nature, animals, and the people around her, Karen weaves stories into her artwork. She often envisions her next creative endeavor, meticulously translating her dreams into reality using her unique skills. While she enjoys working with acrylics, oil, and etching, Karen’s diverse talents extend to painting on rocks, glassware, driftwood, canvas, and feathers.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Karen dedicates her time to working for Métis Nation BC. She also takes on commissions, crafting custom-made paintings that reflect her clients’ visions.
