Killer Whale (Sea) – A majestic creature, the dorsal fin reaches out to the sky creating a bridge between the sea and the heavens.
Corrine Hunt was born in Alert Bay, British Columbia, Canada. As a member of the Raven Gwa’wina clan from Ts’akis (Fort Rupert), a Komoyue and Kwakiutl village from the Kwakwaka’wakw community on Vancouver Island, she likes to create art that integrates themes from her community, but also from her second Tlingit heritage. Artists in her family influenced her work and she is now a mentor and a teacher to many artists in British Columbia.
