Mark Nadjiwan’s artistry draws deeply from his First Nation heritage, reflecting its influence in both subject matter and style. A self-taught artist specializing in pen and ink, Mark’s recent works and narratives address contemporary environmental and political challenges.

In recognition of his impactful work with First Nations communities and his artistic achievements, Mark was honored as a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society in 2022. His artwork is showcased across Canada and is part of private collections in Canada, the United States, and Europe. Mark’s roots are deeply embedded in the Georgian Bay and Lake Superior regions. He resides in the traditional territories of the Anishnabek Nation on the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula and is a member of the Neyaashiinigmiing Unceded First Nation.
