I am delighted to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our donors and members for their unwavering support, commitment and enthusiasm for the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum. As Canada’s national museums, we lead in historical and cultural preservation and education, driven by our dedication to research, shared authority and inclusivity. Your support directly enriches communities and fuels innovative projects that inspire and impact future generations.

I am immensely proud of what we have achieved thanks to your generous contributions, which enabled the launch of two exciting oral history projects this year: Shaping Canada and In Their Own Voices: Stories from Canadian Veterans and Their Loved Ones. These projects help capture firsthand accounts of lived experiences, offering a window into the ideas and thoughts of our rich and diverse society. Often complementing the stories told through objects and belongings, oral accounts showcase the vibrant tapestry of human history, deepening our connection to Canada’s past, and inspiring us all to build a bright future.

Looking ahead, we will continue to engage students from across Canada with our travelling educational programs — Supply Line and History Box — while developing inclusive initiatives that highlight historical milestones and celebrate accomplishments from diverse communities.
