This doll cradle with corner posts was made in Châteauguay, Quebec in the early 19th century. It is one of the many fine pieces collector Nettie Covey Sharpe bequeathed to the Canadian Museum of History. Her gift enabled the Museum to build one of the richest collections of folk art in Canada. Nettie Covey Sharpe died on March 28, 2002.
